Aims and Scope

The Journal of Plant Genetics and Crop Research (JGRC) is a peer-reviewed, open access, interdisciplinary journal focusing on molecular genetics, breeding, and crop production. As such, it is the ideal platform to discuss and examine the advances in plant systems biology, the biochemistry and physiology of plant systems, plant genetics, plant breeding and biotechnology, and crop production and management. The journal also covers advances in research related to plant biosecurity, plant diversity and plant conservation.


The aims of the Journal of Plant Genetics and Crop Research are to provide a platform for researchers to publish their findings, review the findings of others, and further the scientific discourse on plant genetics, breeding and crop production. The journal also serves to provide a forum for researchers to share new developments in biotechnology for practical applications.


The scope of the Journal of Plant Genetics and Crop Research is broad, encompassing all aspects of plant genetics, breeding and crop production.
