Aims And Scope

Journal of Bioinformatics and Diabetes (JBD) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that provides a platform for scientists and clinicians to explore the latest developments in the field of bioinformatics in relation to diabetes and other related diseases. JBD is devoted to publishing high-quality research, from basic to clinical studies, that reveals, advances, and promotes the understanding of diabetes and related conditions.

JBD is a multidisciplinary journal that welcomes contributions from all related fields, including systems biology, genetic epidemiology, nutrition and metabolism, big data, metabolomics, proteomics, genomics and machine learning. The journal emphasises the interplay between bioinformatics and diabetes, by publishing research results, techniques and technologies that support the diagnosis, treatment and management of diabetes and its associated complications.

The journal aims to provide a comprehensive overview of research related to diabetes and its associated bioinformatics, bring together and consolidate existing knowledge, and promote research collaborations and communication. In doing so, JBD encourages and facilitates the exchange of ideas between clinicians, bioinformaticians and other researchers in the field of diabetes and related diseases.

JBD seeks to publish high-quality original research articles, reviews, technical reports, and perspectives that cover the latest scientific advances in the diagnosis, treatment and management of diabetes and its associated conditions. The journal also provides a platform for discussing the ethical implications of current bioinformatics technologies and their application to diabetes and its treatment.

JBD further aims to advance the development of bioinformatics, by publishing high-quality data analysis, algorithms, statistical and computational tools related to diabetes and its associated diseases. In particular, the journal encourages and supports the development and evaluation of evidence-based algorithms, models and approaches that increase the accuracy and efficiency of diabetes diagnosis and treatment.

In short, JBD is an international platform for researchers, clinicians, bioinformaticians, and other professionals in the field of diabetes and related conditions, to work collectively and share their knowledge and experiences. The journal encourages the methodological development and clinical applications of bioinformatics, in order to improve the understanding, diagnosis, treatment and management of diabetes and its associated complications.
